The Role
Location: Calgary, AB
Shift: Monday – Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Experience Level: 4th-Year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Duty Mechanic
Repair – 70%
- Perform hands-on repairs and testing to ensure vehicles meet OEM and safety standards
- Coordinate with Parts Technicians to ensure the right components are available for each repair
- Diagnose, service, and repair Freightliner and Western Star trucks and related systems
Problem Solving – 20%
- Review detailed work orders and service notes
- Use modern diagnostic equipment to identify complex issues with engines, transmissions, hydraulics, electrical, and electronic systems
- Accurately document findings and timelines for repair
Reporting & Training – 10%
- Maintain precise repair documentation and track work times
- Participate in ongoing training sessions and workshops to stay current with technology and best practices
Education / Certification
- Registered 4th-Year Apprentice or Journeyman Heavy Equipment Technician (HET)
- Class 1 or 3 driver’s license is considered an asset
