Our Medicine Hat branch is growing and looking for a Shop Foreman to lead a skilled team of technicians. You’ll work in a clean, modern facility, supported by approachable leaders who value teamwork, efficiency, and technical excellence.
This is a Monday to Friday day shift position (8:00 am to 5:00 pm), offering steady hours and long-term stability.

Paid Well
Hourly wage: $46.95 – $52.45/hr (based on experience, certifications, and qualifications)

The Role
As the Shop Foreman, you’ll play a key leadership role overseeing daily shop operations while remaining hands-on when needed.
You’ll ensure quality control, manage workflow, and support technicians in diagnosing and repairing heavy-duty trucks and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily operations in the shop and assign work to technicians
Perform diagnostics, maintenance, and repairs on heavy-duty trucks and equipment
Provide technical guidance and support to journeyman and apprentice technicians
Conduct quality control checks and ensure repairs meet OEM and safety standards
Support Service Manager in scheduling, prioritizing work orders, and meeting deadlines
Maintain accurate service documentation and communicate effectively with the parts and service teams
Assist in training and mentoring apprentices
Promote a positive and safe work environment
Education & Certifications
Journeyman Red Seal Heavy Equipment Technician certification (preferred)
CVIP License (strong asset)
Class 1 or 3 driver’s licence (asset)
Experience
5+ years of experience as a Heavy Duty Technician or equivalent applicable experience
Previous leadership or foreman experience in a dealership or fleet environment (preferred)
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills (Detroit Diesel and/or Cummins experience an asset)
Proven ability to lead, coach, and mentor others
Strong communication and organizational skills
