Outside Parts Sales is a relationship driven role where you operate as the dealership’s presence in the field. You are the person customers call when they need answers quickly and solutions that keep trucks moving.
This role suits someone who enjoys independence, building trust, and growing a territory through consistent follow up and service. Success in this role comes from daily activity, strong relationships, and understanding how a shop operates.
You will work closely with Parts, Service, and Sales to support customer uptime and grow long term partnerships.
Treated Well
You will report to experienced dealership leadership who understand outside sales. You are trusted to manage your territory, plan your schedule, and run your day without micromanagement.
Trained Well
You will receive OEM product training, internal systems training, and ongoing support from the branch. We make sure you can confidently represent the dealership and provide solutions to customers.
Paid Well
Our compensation structure rewards activity, relationship building, and territory growth.
Expected earnings: $70,000 – $110,000 annually

The Role
Reporting to the Parts Manager, this is a Medicine Hat territory field position responsible for developing new business and maintaining existing customer relationships.
This role requires someone comfortable working independently, prospecting consistently, and maintaining a structured call schedule.
Business Development – 60%
• Grow territory sales through prospecting and relationship building
• Daily customer visits and cold calls to new and existing businesses
• Maintain a structured territory plan and call schedule
• Promote programs, specials, and product solutions
• Identify opportunities and close business
Customer Relationship Management – 30%
• Visit assigned customers regularly based on needs and volume
• Communicate order urgency clearly with parts counter staff
• Recommend companion parts and full solutions
• Work with Parts, Service, and Sales teams to support uptime
Administrative & Support – 10%
• Assist with collection of past due accounts
• Review special orders with Parts Manager prior to ordering
• Maintain organized customer records and follow ups
• Work professionally and cooperatively with the team
Education / Certification
• Valid Class 5 driver’s license required
Experience
• Previous outside sales experience preferred
• Heavy duty truck or commercial vehicle industry experience considered an asset
• Strong communication and organization skills
• Able to work independently and manage a territory
• Comfortable in a fast paced environment
