Our total compensation package offers job security, health, dental, EFAP, vision and life insurance. A qualified Body Shop Prepper wage starts at from $22.00 - $32.00 (based on training, certificates and related experience, etc).

The Role:

Body Prepping – 90% of your time is spent here

• Obtain repair orders from the Body Shop Manager and take to stall area.
• Inspect of projects prior to refinishing to ensure all prep and repair work is complete.
• Apply masking to the bumpers, windows, and trim for primer preparation.
• Prepare the vehicle for paint sanding, taping, and applying primer
• Clean and smooth surfaces before the application of primer and paint
• Detailing of paint work such as unmasking, inspection, touch ups, buffing and minor reassembly.
• Execute minor body work and priming.

Other duties – 10% of your time is spent here

• Attend factory-sponsored training sessions.
• Perform other duties as required.

Education/Certification

• Journeyman Autobody Red Seal certified (preferred)
• Valid Driver’s licence with no restrictions
• Clean Driver’s Abstract

Experience

• 2 years experience in Heavy Duty Truck vehicle repair.
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw conclusions.
