The Work
You'll diagnose, maintain, inspect, and repair commercial trucks as part of an experienced dealership Service team.
Your work will include:
Diagnostics and troubleshooting
Preventative maintenance and inspections
Engine and aftertreatment systems
Electrical and electronic troubleshooting
Mechanical and hydraulic repairs
OEM diagnostic software and equipment
Commercial vehicle inspections
Repair documentation
Supporting apprentice development
You'll work primarily with Freightliner and Western Star, while gaining exposure to a wide variety of trucks, trailers, engines, and specialized equipment.
What We're Looking For
Experienced heavy-duty truck technicians/mechanics
Quebec trade certification, Red Seal, or equivalent Canadian journeyperson qualification
Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
Freightliner, Western Star, Detroit, or Cummins experience is an asset
Commercial vehicle inspection experience is an asset
Willingness to relocate to Alberta or British Columbia
New West Truck Centres can support qualified candidates with obtaining required provincial inspection certifications.
