Paid Well - Base salary range for an HR Manager in this role is $85,000 - $95,000 per year.
The Role
The heart of this role will be to manage all day-to-day HR functions for the company.
Overview of responsibilities
- Oversee all HR functions, including talent management, employee relations, compensation, WCB Claims, and benefits administration.
- Manage employee development and training programs to enhance skills and engagement.
- Ensure the company's compliance with all relevant employment laws, regulations, and industry standards.
- Draft, update, and communicate HR policies and procedures to ensure clarity and compliance.
- Manage legal matters related to HR and health and safety, including investigations, disputes, and contractual agreements.
- Handle employee grievances and conflicts, providing mediation and support to resolve issues.
- Stay current with industry regulations and best practices, adapting company policies accordingly.
- Oversee the onboarding process for new hires, ensuring a smooth integration into the company.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Occupational Health and Safety, or a related field.
Experience
- Proven experience in a senior HR leadership role, with at least 3 years in a managerial capacity.
- Professional certifications in HR (e.g., SHRM, CPHR) are highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of employment laws, health and safety regulations, and industry best practices.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate at all levels of the organization
